How to Get Level 4 in Batomon Showdown (Max Level Guide)

What the patch notes officially confirm about Level 4 — its resale rule, per-monster caps like Sukoi's — plus which routes to it are verified and which are not.

FAQ

How do you get a Level 4 in Batomon Showdown?
The route is documented nowhere official — no patch note, store description or devlog spells out how a monster reaches Level 4; the closest the 1.0.0 notes come is "the tutorial has been overhauled". Player threads describe buying a duplicate of the same monster so the two combine, but that is an unverified community description, so this guide tracks it as an open question rather than printing steps.
What does a Level 4 Batomon sell for?
Its Level 3 price. The 1.0.0 patch note reads "Level 4 now resells at its level 3 price" — the only Level-4-specific rule in the official record. In practice that makes chasing Level 4 reversible: if a run needs gold instead, selling a Level 4 returns what a Level 3 would.
Does every Batomon have a Level 4?
The record never promises that. The Batopedia inspect panel offers level buttons up to Lv 4 in official store screenshots, but hotfix v1.0.1 capped Sukoi's own level-up at 3 — "Max level from its level up: 4 → 3" — while the same note leaves Shiny Sukoi's at 4. Caps clearly vary per monster, and even per variant.
Is a Level 4 Mythic worth it?
The community treats the combination as the game's most extreme power spike — Retromation's two Mythic Level 4 showcases drew 51,000+ and 42,000+ views — but a meta verdict is beyond what this page can verify. Mythical rarity itself is official: the Batopedia's "???" tab holds event Batomon and Mythicals. The Mythical and Shiny guide tracks how players obtain them.
What is the Upgrade Disc — can items grant Level 4?
Upgrade Disc is an officially named item: demo-era patch notes changed it to "activate once per buy if you have multiple Upgrade Discs". What it actually does is never stated in the sources checked, so whether any item offers a route to Level 4 independent of the shop's own leveling is an open question — this guide claims neither way.

How do you get a Level 4 in Batomon Showdown?

Short answer: Level 4 is real, priced, and unevenly reachable — the patch notes confirm it exists, give it its own resale rule, and cap some monsters’ level-up effects below it — but no official text explains how a player makes one. The routes circulating in the community are player accounts, and this guide separates them from the confirmed record.

What the official record confirms about Level 4

Five facts, each quotable to a primary source:

Official fact Exact source wording Source
Level 4 exists and has its own sell rule “Level 4 now resells at its level 3 price” 1.0.0 release notes, Sep 15, 2026
A monster’s level-up effect can be capped below 4 “Sukoi Max level from its level up: 4 → 3” Hotfix v1.0.1, Sep 16, 2026
A Shiny variant can keep the cap its normal version lost Shiny Sukoi entry ends “Max level from its level up: 4 (unchanged)” Hotfix v1.0.1
The inspect UI exposes levels up to 4 Batopedia monster panel with level selector buttons Lv 1 through Lv 4 Official store screenshot, release build
Level 3 is the celebrated milestone Medal sticker is earned “for winning a championship with that Batomon at level 3 (or higher)” Demo devlog, Apr 27, 2026

The resale rule is the one with daily consequences. Pushing a monster toward Level 4 does not destroy your exit option: whenever the run needs gold more than power, selling returns what a Level 3 would. That single sentence is also why Level 4 reads as intentional design rather than an exploit — the developers priced the tier instead of removing it.

The caps evidence cuts the other way. Sukoi’s nerf one day after launch proves level-up effects get bounded per monster, and the same note’s Shiny Sukoi line proves the bounds differ between a monster and its Shiny variant. So “which Batomon can even reach Level 4” is a per-monster question with no official master list — exactly the kind of gap the level-up guide maps from the official side for Levels 1–3.

One confirmed level source sits below the ceiling: official store screenshots show a bug-collector event that hands out a leveled monster outright — “Take the fighter ant (Gain a level 2 Guardiant)”. Encounters can therefore grant levels without any shop purchase; whether anything analogous ever reaches Level 4 is unverified.

So how do you actually reach Level 4?

What the community describes, and how far each account is from verified:

What players describe Where it circulates Verification status
Buying a duplicate of a monster you own combines the two, and bonuses the copies carried accumulate on the result r/BatomonShowdown threads on merging and multicast stacking Unverified player description
Monsters can change form into the same species and fuse on their own r/BatomonShowdown thread: “Randomly got a full mythic team… They just happened to morph into the same one and fuse” Unverified player description
Items may offer another route — an item named Upgrade Disc exists Demo patch 0.8.3: “Changed Upgrade Disc to activate once per buy if you have multiple Upgrade Discs” — its effect is never stated Open question — tracked, not claimed

A vocabulary note that saves confusion: the community’s words for this are merge, morph and fuse; the official record never uses “merge” — its own terms are level up and evolution. And the claim players care most about, that bonuses survive a combine, is really a trigger question: how stacked effects behave is the multicast guide’s territory, and its merge section carries those community accounts pending the same verification.

Which Batomon are worth pushing to Level 4?

This is a meta question, and the official record answers none of it — the balance notes list per-level numbers for Levels 1–3 and never rate Level 4. What exists is community evidence, and it concentrates on two families: one specific monster, and Mythicals.

Monster family Community evidence Views (Sep 27, 2026) Status on this page
Pebbler Retromation, “Level 4 Pebbler Carry!” 24,770 Video-title evidence only; Pebbler’s own mechanics are not verified here
Mythicals Retromation, “Unsurprisingly, Level 4 Mythics Are Dumb” 51,442 Video-title evidence; see the section below
Shiny Level 4 Mythic Retromation, “Shiny Level 4 Mythic is Obviously Busted!” 42,716 Video-title evidence; the Shiny angle lives on the Mythical and Shiny page

Retromation — Level 4 Pebbler Carry!

Pebbler is the face of the Level 4 carry conversation — the monster Retromation’s most-cited carry video is built around:

The Batopedia collection grid from the game’s official store loop video: the boulder-like Pebbler centered with its three empty achievement-sticker slots, Panbud beside it showing earned Trophy, Medal and Star stickers, and Electranade, Freezly and Gildshell below

Frame from the official “Level up your Batomon” loop on Batomon Showdown’s Steam store page (berrymint, September 2026) — Pebbler’s card sits between Panbud, whose card shows all three earned stickers, and Scorchimp.

Whether a Level 4 Pebbler — or a Level 4 of anything — is actually worth the gold is a verdict this page does not hand out: no rated tier evidence exists in official text, and community rankings remain community rankings until they survive verification, the same standard this page applies to the route question above.

Level 4 and Mythicals

Mythical is official terminology: the Batopedia reserves a “???” tab for “event Batomon and mythicals” (1.0.0 notes), and patch 1.1.0 promoted the Alpha Crown from Legendary to Mythical rarity — the developers actively grow that tier. The combination of the two systems, a Level 4 Mythic, is the community’s shorthand for the game’s ceiling-of-ceilings power spike. Its most-watched showcase:

Retromation — Unsurprisingly, Level 4 Mythics Are Dumb

Assembling one stacks two open questions: the unverified route to Level 4 above, plus whichever Mythical acquisition path applies — community threads list several (a Gamer trainer ability, a Treasure Map trinket, event conversions), all pending the same verification. The Mythical and Shiny guide follows those paths and the Shiny variants that Sukoi’s patch note shows can differ.
